Hello guys! If you’re planing to visit red city Marrakech, staying in a riad is definitely something you have to do when traveling to Morocco. Riad is traditional house in Morocco. It is characterized by having an inner courtyard or a garden as the central element of the building. As a matter of fact, the name comes from the Arab word ‘ryad’ – garden. Following the Islamic idea of privacy and inward reflection, a riad doesn’t usually have large windows facing the outside. Instead, rooms in a riad will have windows facing the opened-ceiling inner courtyard/garden.
Before our visit to Marrakech we found amazing riad ”Le Riad Yasmine” four our short holiday. Le Riad Yasmine is a small hotel – 8 rooms only – and each rooms have unique design. In the small courtyard you can take your breakfast or you can swim when ever you want. Especially we really love drinking Moroccon tea and relax in this sweet garden.
